Lyantonde the "famous" city of pleasure and death in Uganda
Lyantonde city is one of the most notorious small cities in Uganda. It lays along the passage route to other southern countries. Many truck drivers make their stop in this city to be “entertained” during their short pause. It is here where many years ago the AIDS virus was firstly discovered by the Department of Health in Uganda. One can see the numerous big cargo trucks lining up along the passage road, especially at night. We were shocked to see the many households ran by orphan youngsters and children.
The devil did not like it for the team of Redeemed Crusades and Chrisma Ministries to the Nations to hold a three days’ crusade in this city in March 2004. First day we set up the platform at the car park but the Muslim administrative town leaders forced us out. We got another place but still we were not allowed to set up our crusade in that place. There was much religious and witchcraft opposition. Our intercessors in Kampala were informed about the situation and they started to pray and position themselves in spiritual warfare. We called on the Lord for several hours. Finely we got a ground overgrown by weeds. After we cleared the place our platform and instruments were installed; and this was when all the miracles began. People started to come at the crusade even before it commenced. The blessings of the Lord were abundant. More than ten thousand people attended the crusade
Number of those that got saved was over 1200. Amongst them were many Muslims. And at the end of the crusade those that were against us said “we cannot compete with these Christians that came from Kampala”. The city rejoiced!.

- Two demon-possessed men were delivered.
- One dumb man was healed.
- Men and women that had been oppressed by demons were set free over twenty of them.
- One blind man got healed
- Five women that had tumors were set free and they went home dancing.
- One witch doctor was set free, which was amazing to the people in Lyantonde.
