Eldoret & Nairobi - Kenya Empowering & Training Programs October 2005

One of our key strategies is to empower and commission numerous upcoming evangelists in the Great-Lakes Region in East Africa. The harvest in this part of the world with more than 40 million inhabitants is plentiful. This area of our ministry is so fulfilling, to see many laborers being sent out into the harvest field and affecting the nations.

Evangelist Eddy van Russel
His teachings during the seminar for upcoming evangelists left a great impact. He taught extensively on evangelism and taking the gospel to all the nations and peoples of the Great Lakes Region. We learn from the scriptures _ Matthew 9 and Luke 10 _ that Jesus had compassion on the crowds He saw. After this, He beseeches his disciples to ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest field. Eddy taught and poured out his burning heart for the lost.

There was a great anointing with strong impartation. The hunger for God to be used in the gifting of an evangelist was obviously present amongst the 50 evangelists that attended. This is just a beginning of the work of evangelism that the Holy Spirit wants the Church in Eldoret and Kenya to move into. Now every month we have a team of 15 brethren from different churches meeting to forge ways of evangelizing and also encourage one another. Chrisma Ministries to the Nations is ready to workout and implement some new and powerful strategies on evangelism for this region in partnership with the Church. These strategies have been discussed with some of the key leaders in Eldoret. During the coming months we hope to have the plan ready.

Ev Eddy also taught on how to build your ministry. In this he included: Reasons for a Ministry Plan and writing it on paper (Hab 2:2), no matter the size of one’s ministry.

Teaching on vision, he stated that any vision statement, should describe your idea in a manner that captures the passion of the idea. With clear vision, one is able to understand his mission, have strategies, plans, objectives, in line with the vision and as this is done monitoring and evaluation is made easy. He expounded on tools that one needs for writing the ministry plan e.g prayer, research, brainstorming among others. This seminar has given the participants powerful insights and tools to start building their own Ministry Plan.

Pastor Klaas den Hollander
He had moving testimonies of God’s working in his life. Growing up As a son of a pioneering pastor, he received firsthand life-training. It is there where he was exposed to the spiritual dynamics of faith, love, healing, endurance, perseverance, and church ministry. His message cut through people’s heart as he did not mince his words as he exalted people. The strong revelation from the scripture left people with no choice but to thirst more for God. What came out clear from his ministry was to help the body of Christ understand their role take, their position, and function. It was an awakening call. As he spoke of getting fresh oil he also warned people of being asleep at a time when God wants to move. In all he spoke, one message came clear; you need the fresh oil to serve God. God bless Pastor Klaas for unique examples. Life illustrations, that left an impact on people’s lives.

Nairobi - Kenya Evangelists & Leaders Training Program 26th – 30th October 2005.
The seminar for leaders and evangelists was in an area just outside of Nairobi where Rev. Robinson Matende from Africa For Christ Evangelistic Association has started a new church. There was a need for a lot of spiritual groundbreaking. Pastor Shipala and myself ministered to some twenty pastors and evangelists from that area. It was a time of empowering and commissioning with an apostolic impact. We also had a small crusade to pave the way for future evangelism. There was also a breaking of a new ground/plot for the church.
